Welcome to life unplugged!
Join Yoga One November 6-13 as we pack up and head to Costa Rica for another Y1 Adventure!
Blue Spirit Retreat provides an exceptional setting to all who are dedicated to spiritual transformation, personal development, and environmental sustainability. Perched on a peninsula overlooking the Pacific Ocean and a three-mile long white sand beach that is protected as a turtle refuge – Blue Spirit Retreat offers an extraordinarily beautiful and natural setting on one of Costa Rica’s finest beaches!
Since Nosara is on the Pacific Ocean, life in the area focuses a great deal on the fantastic beaches. There are ideal surfing conditions year-round and surfing lessons and rental boards are widely available.
For the adventurous, there are canopy tours that offer thrilling views of the Costa Rican jungle canopy, or cave expeditions in the Barra Honda National Park. For more tranquil exploits there is bird watching on Boca Nosara, River Kayaking, or the visit of an organic coffee plantation in the lush green hills of the Nicoya Peninsula. And, of course, there are miles upon miles of soft, white sand beaches for long walks and gorgeous sunsets.

What should I bring?
The weather is uniformly tropical, so casual, warm-weather clothing is perfect. Bring a sweater just in case. Be sure to bring your mat-- straps and blocks will be available.
Don't forget to pack sun screen, sun hat, beach towel, light rain-coat or rain-poncho, hiking sandals, water bottle, flashlight, your special medication and, of course, a camera!. We recommend bringing a flashlight, especially if you like evening walks.
YOU WILL NEED A PASSPORT TO MAKE THIS TRIP. If you do not have a passport, apply for one at least 8-12 weeks in advance.
While main meals are included in the package price, you will want to bring spending money for additional excursions, meals, souveniers, tips, etc. The US Dollar is widely accepted in Costa Rica, so exchanging US Dollars to Costa Rica Colones is usually not necessary. Smaller denominations of $20 or less are easiest to cash. The exchange rate is approx. 500 to 600 Colones per US Dollar.
